Erik Johnson was born here in Anchorage and has lived here his whole life so far, but he has
visited all of the other 49 states. He and his father own Berkely salt flat racer, a 1930 Ford
Street Rod and a 1951 right hand drive Angela, and a GMC. He is a member of ASCC and the
SCCA, and is now currently a member of the SCTA and 49th State Street Rodders. He and his
Father are getting into the Bonneville racing thing (the Berkely is a land speed car). He joined
late in 2006, shortly after the fall swap meet. He only made it to the swap meets and the Show N
Shine, so he would have to say they are his favorite. He is currently employed with Evert’s Air
Cargo as an Inspector (Quality Control).
Neil Noll moved to Alaska from Kansas City in 1985 and joined the MSSRA in 1991. He has the
privilege of being a past president and has worked on several committees. He has been
working on cars as a hobby since he got his first 1963 Bel Air. He moved up to better cars in a
hurry after that. He has learned to do all the restoration work himself from welding to painting,
which proves anyone can do it, if you try. He has owned his 1950 Ford Pickup since he was in
Kansa City and has taken it apart three times to get it to this condition. His 1965 Impala SS
Convertible is a work in progress. After a variety of jobs he settled into communications and is
currently working for a subsidiary of UIC called UKPIK. He got his wife interested in cars and
eventually she purchased the 1968 VW Bug on the home page. “This club has given me many
great memories and wonderful friends,” said Neil.

Secretary
Dave Taylor is a newcomer to the MSSRA, joining in May of 2009. Dave moved to Alaska in
January of 1990 courtesy of the USAF and was stationed at Elmendorf until he retired in
1992.
At the time Dave was a military Air Traffic Controller, but after retirement he went into
commercial radio as a DJ. Dave has been an announcer on KFQD AM 750, KENI AM 650,
KMXS FM 103.1, KGOT FM 101.3, KNIK FM 105.7, KRPM FM 96.3 (now Wolf 96.3) and many
others. He also runs his own Internet Radio station called “M Jazz”, short for “The Master’s
Jazz”. After short stints in car and furniture sales Dave is back in Air Traffic Control this time
teaching FAA controllers at Anchorage Center. In 2001 Dave married his wife Kathy who just
happened to have inherited 4 classic cars from her father, the late Earl Ramp. They
currently have a 1964 Plymouth Barracuda and a 1949 Willy’s Jeepster convertible they love
to show in honor of Kathy’s late father.

Treasure
Vivien Noll has lived in Anchorage, Alaska since she was 2-1/2 years old. She started
attending MSSRA events with Neil Noll in 1994 and finally got her own car, a 1968 VW Beetle,
in 2007. Vivien, unfortunately, told Neil she wanted to do the restoration on the VW herself
(with his tutelage). Hence, there has not been any restoration done (except fixing the floor
pan). Thus, the need for painting flowers all over the bug to cover up the really bad paint
job. Vivien has helped out here and there for different MSSRA events and was the chair for
the Beach Party for two years. Vivien is the Law Office Manager for the Office of Special
Prosecutions & Appeals and has worked there for nearly fourteen years.
